This is sweet as hell, man. Your style is so cool and it really felt as though I was actually watching a VHS tape ripped straight from the 80s. It seems like you really nailed what you were aiming to do. Only feedback I can offer is I'd like to see a stronger plot. Really awesome stuff, dude.

Side note: How did you get that static-y VHS look? It looks really cool.

Thanks man glad you liked it! The scan lines were added during editing in final cut but the glitch effects were unfortunately animated straight into the animation, I couldn't find any decent software to get the look I was after so I just draw it myself haha. I've got a few replys saying about plot now, its there just subtle but since alot of people are missing it, next time ill make it more obvious :)

I dig it, dude. Don't have too much to add but I love your art style; there is something very appealing about it. I'd like to see something more fleshed-out though, something like a complete story.

[The Lost Dino]

Cute short animation. Some critiques:
In some parts the shadows didn't connect with the figures. The shadow should always sprout from the figure. The dinosaur fossil felt a bit flat, maybe add more shading to make it "POP". Animation was fairly solid, some parts weren't fully colored in but overall it was smooth and visually appealing. I enjoyed it and I look forward to more fully-fleshed animations from you in the future. :D

[Pananda Bread - Episode 1 - The Rap Battle]

Clearly a lot of effort and love went into this project. I enjoyed the animation, it fit nicely with the tone and style you were going for. I also thought that the character designs were distinctive and represented the characters well.
My main criticism for this animation is that the writing isn't that strong. The pacing of the story is slow and we spend the first four minutes without the story progressing at all. I understand that you were aiming for a "clerks"-esque sort of intro where we get to know the characters but I don't think it should be at the sacrifice of telling the story. It made it less like a complete story and more like a series of tangentially related sketches.
That being said, I enjoyed the animation style but I think that the writing is the major issue with this. If you were to strengthen up the writing/jokes I could definitely see this series gaining traction online.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree about the writing. I think there's a catch 22 in making a TV show. Until you've made one that you wrote, you won't know how to write one. Which means the first one you make and write is going to kind of suck.

I think this episode picks up a lot in the second half. But if I were going to write it again, I would write it differently.

The one thing I took solace in, is that all pilot episodes suck. And grading on that curve I felt like we could have sucked a lot worse. So I'm hoping our future episodes will suck less.

This was really funny, dude. Your dialogue was on-point and felt really realistic, and funny too. It's really cool to see some good character-based comedy. Animation was simplistic but I feel in this case it adds to the charm. Also, is that the same Dario Russo that made Danger 5, if so that's bloody awesome. Look forward to seeing more videos in the future.

[Cockroaches]

Really, really, gorgeous animation, dude. It's awesome to see stop-motion on this website and you've nailed it. The character designs were great, the subtle character insights were nice (i.e. the cockroach drinking the flask was a nice touch), animation was fluid, I would, however, have liked to see a more developed story. Overall, it was a stellar animation dude.
